Before. Yellowing acrylic shower pan (impossible to clean) and white tile.
The tile wasn't in bad shape, but I wanted something with some more style!

After. Added two recessed shelves (you can only see one of them).
Tile: Leonia silver porcelain tiles from Lowes, Casa Antica Gubbio marble floor mosaic from Floor and Decor, and glass mosaic strips from Lowes.
Brushed nickel showerhead coming on Tuesday!
Frameless glass doors coming next week!
It has been great! Everyone who sees the shower comments on the unique floor!!! I like that it looks like river rocks but feels flatter. No, we did not seal the grout. We have hard water so yes there's some water/mineral staining on the grout but I have been able to clean it off so far. I wonder if sealing it would have prevented that?
ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! What color grout did you use for the Leonia silver tiles? I am looking to use them as well!
ReplyDeleteHi Sara, thanks for commenting! We love our Leonia silver tiles! I wish I had written down what grout we used. It's a very dark brownish gray and I think it was from Lowes. I needed some brown in it because the floor is more brown than gray so the grout kind of ties it together. I would definitely recommend sealing it, whatever color you end up getting... we are getting light colored water stains on the grout and I don't know how to get them off! Good luck!
DeleteThank you for responding - I will definitely try to find something with a similar hue!
ReplyDeleteWhat was the color of your accent strips?
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry but I don't remember! I know we got them at Lowes, and they are a combination of stone tile and glass tile.
